FUNDRAISING

Fundraising is a necessary part of our organization.  In order to provide our students and staff with meaningful support, we plan to raise funds through membership fees, spirit wear sales, and through the programs listed below.   Donations are also greatly appreciated.  The PTO is a nonprofit section 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.  We are happy to provide you with a donation receipt upon written request.

Incentive Rewards Program

Even if you don't have time to volunteer or commit, your membership is more than enough to help our school. However, if you want to help in an *easy* way, using these helps our school more than you know! These only take a few seconds of your time (and some, it's only once!) and helps us tremendously.  Here is our one-stop shop for those type of ways to help!

1. Kroger Community Rewards - This is about as simple as it gets! Log onto your account at http://www.kroger.com and click on My Account, and on the left click on Community Rewards. All you have to do is select your organization (Light Farms Elementary School) and enter our Organization Number: XU701. That's it! In a few days, you'll see the bottom of your receipt reflect that you've chosen us.

2. Amazon Smile -  If you didn't know about this program, Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organization of your choice. AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service. Support your charitable organization by starting your shopping at http://smile.amazon.com. Simply scroll to where it says "pick your own charitable organization" and then type in Light Farms Elementary PTO, and we will pop up! It will save, and you can shop on amazon like you always do!

3. Box Tops For Education - while many would expect this to be listed first, Box Tops has undergone a bit of a change over the last year, so we want to make sure you've got ALL the details.  First, we still are collecting clipped Box Tops! We will send home sheets as it nears collection dates, but you can always send them in a baggie labeled with your child's name and classroom, or download a sheet to print out right here.  BUT - there's also an easier way - and YEP  - it's an app! If you didn't download the Box Tops app already, make sure to do so from your app store.  Create a free account if you don't already have one, and select our school.  Each time you shop, scan your receipt and any items that have box tops will be counted automatically!  There are also bonuses available (check the app) from certain stores, on certain products, depending on the week.  Be sure to check our progress on the PTO board in the main hallway!

Stay Tuned as we have a few more to come!
