About Room Parents

Being a room parent is a great opportunity to be involved in your child's class by coordinating information between PTO, school, teachers and parents. Your responsibilities include communication with your teacher on best ways to support them throughout the year, class parties, teacher Birthdays, and facilitating info for Staff Appreciation Week.

Room Parent sign ups will be available at Meet the Teacher, on August 9th, in your child's classroom.

*ALL ROOM PARENTS MUST BE MEMBERS OF LFE PTO AND HAVE COMPLETED A PISD BACKGROUND CHECK FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

It is the policy of PISD that ALL volunteers complete the district Volunteer Background Check EACH YEAR and clearance is necessary before being allowed to volunteer in any capacity.

The district processes all background checks and it can take up to two weeks to get clearance. Because you share the same concerns about student safety, we know you understand why there will be no exceptions to this important rule.
